A New Partnership Expands Possibilities for Aging at Home

At ThriveMore at Home, our mission has always been clear: to help people remain in the homes they love with confidence, support, and a plan for whatever comes next. Now, through a new partnership with Greenlight Mobility, that mission is expanding with new resources.

Together, ThriveMore at Home and Greenlight Mobility are working to give members even more tools, resources, and expert guidance to make their homes safer, more accessible, and better suited for the years ahead.

A Shared Commitment to Aging in Place

ThriveMore at Home is designed for older adults who want to continue living independently while knowing that care, coordination, and support are always within reach. Through personalized wellness coordination and proactive planning, members are able to stay in familiar surroundings with confidence and peace of mind.

Greenlight Mobility shares a similar vision. Their work focuses on helping individuals remain in their homes safely and comfortably, even as physical needs change. What makes Greenlight unique is its therapist-led approach, combining clinical expertise with home modifications and solutions that support independence.

For both organizations, it’s about helping people continue living life on their own terms.

Bringing Clinical Expertise Into the Home

Through this partnership, ThriveMore at Home members now have access to Greenlight Mobility’s in-home assessments, conducted by a trained rehabilitation professional.

As an occupational therapist, she's always been passionate about helping people problem-solve in their own environments, said Greenlight Mobility owner Katie Cox. “We love helping people problem-solve, and we’re not afraid to get creative in the solutions we offer," she said.

These assessments evaluate how a person moves through their home and identify opportunities to improve safety and functionality. Recommendations may include updates such as grab bars, stair lifts, shower conversions, and other modifications that reduce fall risk and support daily living.

Even small changes can make a difference. In fact, targeted home modifications have been shown to significantly improve safety and help reduce the risk of falls, one of the most common challenges older adults face at home.

A Collaborative Approach From Day One

One of the most important aspects of this partnership is how early the collaboration begins.

Greenlight Mobility is now often part of the initial home walk-through with new ThriveMore at Home members, working alongside the ThriveMore team to assess needs, explore options, and identify opportunities for improvement from the start.

“It’s a great chance for all of us to brainstorm together,” Katie shared, "and let people know what options are available to them."

This collaborative, team-based approach ensures that members receive well-rounded guidance from both a wellness planning perspective and a home safety and accessibility perspective.

A Resource Members Can Rely On

For many people, the biggest barrier to making changes at home isn’t willingness — it’s simply not knowing where to start. That’s where this partnership makes a real difference.

“My hope is that we will be a resource that members and staff will feel comfortable reaching out to with problem-solving questions, and that they won't feel like they have to have full formed ideas or solutions in mind before they call,” Katie said. Most people don’t realize how many possibilities exist to make their homes safer and more functional, but that's where Greenlight comes in.

That accessibility and openness are already making an impact for ThriveMore at Home members.

“We are now partnering with Katie for our members, both new and existing, to complete in-home assessments and provide recommendations for aging-in-place upgrades,” said Lynne Moore, Executive Director of ThriveMore at Home. Katie has already been a great benefit to our members, Lynne said, and they’ve expressed complete satisfaction with every interaction.

Expanding What’s Possible at Home

As more older adults choose to age in place, the need for thoughtful planning and proactive home design continues to grow. Most people want to remain in familiar surroundings, but doing so safely requires the right support, guidance, and resources.

With Greenlight Mobility as a partner, ThriveMore at Home members now have greater access to all three.

Together, the organizations are helping individuals:

  • Identify potential safety risks before they become urgent
  • Explore creative solutions tailored to their lifestyle and needs
  • Make informed decisions about home modifications
  • Maintain independence and confidence in their daily routines
